Materials: lime-plastered cork panels with timber and string hinges.
I love plastering and I wanted to make a wall I can carry with me wherever I go.
I wanted the hinges to belong to the walls because hinges often look unnoticed and rigid and are made out of metal. These hinges are made out of timber and strings. If the walls were to be left in nature, all parts would decompose and go back to the soil…
The making of the walls folded out with collaboration with artist Souheil Suleiman and Roskar Nasan at the Amhurst Republic studio, beautiful days we spent together making and laughing.
